Laurence Gibson, Leisure Club Manager
Laurence has been working for the Marriott group for 15 years. During this time he has gained various experiences, including food and beverage managment and conference and event managment. Laurence has worked within the leisure sector for 9 years, gaining such qualifications as Level 3 personal trainer, Pool Plant Tutor, First Aid Tutor and Lifeguard Tutor. He has a passion for high standards of performance and is available to answer any of your questions or concerns via firstname.lastname@example.org
Hannah Jones, Fitness Instructor
Hannah joined the Cardiff Marriott team having just finished college in July 2010, with qualifications in beauty therapy. Hannah has recently finished her level 2 Fitness Instructor course and is about to start her level 3 in order to persue her career goal of becoming a personal trainer.
Michael Walters, Senior Supervisor
Mike has been with Marriott for 8 years and in the fitness industry for 10 years. He is a fully qualified personal trainer and also has several other qualifications including plyometrics, Olympic weight lifting and Exercise Referral . As a keen snowboarder and golfer, he incorporates his knowledge of the sport and fitness industry to develop new and inventive programmes for our members. In 2013 he did the national 3 peak challenge. In June 2016 along with other members of the team he completed his first OCR, the Gauntlet Games.
Shaun Dunphy, Leisure Assistant
Shaun joined the Marriott Leisure Team in September 2012. Shaun is a Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor and Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer. He has has also completed his Level 1 Kettle Bell course. Shaun plays for a local rugby side at senior level and also enjoys doing weight training in the gym. Neil Coleman, Fitness Instructor
Neil has worked at the Marriott for 3 years and is a level 3 Qualified Personal Trainer and Fitness instructor. Neil is also a Qualified Spin instructor. He is a keen sportsman and played Welsh League Football for several years + previously has won the Welsh Cup playing for Taffs Well Football Club. Neil also enjoys playing Golf, Cricket and going Skiing. He has a HND in Leisure and Sports Management and likes to raise money for Charity by running half marathons and cycling velothons. Aimee Todd, Leisure Associate
Aimee joined the Marriott team in January 2015 after moving to Cardiff from North Wales. She has a keen interest in sport, mainly football where she has had the opportunity to represent Wales, Manchester United girls and Liverpool ladies during her career. Aimee has graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Development and is looking to complete her lifeguard course and level 2 personal Training in the near future.
Jack Bennett, Leisure Associate
Jack joined the leisure team in January 2016. Jack is currently studying MSc Strength and Conditioning at Cardiff Metropolitan University, whilst also balancing work commitments with professional rugby outfit Newport Gwent Dragons. Jack is enthusiastic about all things fitness, and has a wealth of experience in performance sport. He also plays for local rugby club Glamorgan Wanderers, and aspires to gaining his Strength and Conditioning accreditation in the near future.
Cameron Tobenas, Leisure Apprentice
Cameron joined us in April 2016 as our Leisure Apprentice. After successfully achieving all of her GCSE'S from school Cameron is now working towards her Personal training Qualifications.
Sadie Pulman, Leisure Associate
Sadie joined the leisure team in August 2016. She will be balancing her work commitments whilst studying for her Early Years and Education degree at the University of South Wales. Sadie competes in pageants so staying in shape and fitness have become a huge part of her life in order to be prepared for the stage. She has worked in leisure for 3+ years and has completed her Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification with the intention of working towards her Personal Training Level 3 course in the near future.
