Sean Bent, Supervisor

My name is Sean, I have worked with the Marriott Hotel since May 2017. I am now Leisure Club Supervisor as well as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Professional. I have many years’ experience in both the Leisure and Fitness industry. As a former Boxer and a qualified Boxing Coach, I have worked with many gyms and clients within the general public on a 1-1 basis along with Olympic Medallist’s, British/World Champions and squads of amateur boxers giving advice and sharing my knowledge in fitness, boxing, fat loss, nutrition or muscle gain fields. I enjoy any challenge and focus all my time on helping and motivating others achieving their goals or with any advice they require.

Jessica Scott, Fitness Instructor

My name is Jess, I have been a qualified personal trainer for over 4 years. During this time I have enjoyed helping others reach their goals and continue to learn more about the industry in the process. I also have qualifications to teach boxercise, spinning and circuit training. Before I became a personal trainer I was in the British army. This is where I found a love for fitness and gained a lot of knowledge in the fitness and nutrition industry. If anyone would like any help and/or advice please feel free to come and ask .

Lisa Robinson, Fitness Instructor

My name is Lisa, I have worked at the Marriott Hotel in Durham for over three years now. I am a personal trainer as well as an aquafit and metafit instructor. I have always had an interest in fitness, having been a competitive swimmer, runner and triathlete for over 10 years. I don't pretend to know everything but I feel that I have a lot of experience in the health and fitness industry that I enjoy sharing with others in order to help them improve. I am always learning and researching all things fitness, from new ways of training and nutrition, to the latest fitness brands too. If anyone would like any fitness advice or personal training sessions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Deborah Stebbings, Leisure Attendant

I joined the Leisure Team here at the Hotel in 2008, having not previously been employed in the Leisure Industry. Whilst at the club I have developed my skills and learnt new ones. By attending relevant training courses I am now a qualified lifeguard and first aider. I enjoy dealing with all aspects of Leisure Club life, particularly meeting and talking to our Members on a regular basis. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Club and hope to continue my working life here for many years to come!

I have been here at the Marriott for over 15 year. I enjoy engaging with the members in the club and working with the staff.

Adam Turnbull, Leisure Attendant

I started work for the Marriott in February 2018. I enjoy meeting and working with new people here in the leisure club. In my spare time I like to use the gym and spend a lot of time looking into new and upcoming strategies of improving health and diet. This could be for muscle gain, fat loss or general health.

I started working for the Marriott in May 2018. I have spent many years as a swimming teacher within leisure centres and clubs. I enjoy working in the Leisure industry and meeting new people and help support others the best way I can.

I have spent many years in both primary and secondary education, teaching kids of all ages and abilities in sport and activities. In my spare time I enjoy taking part in outdoor activities, particularly football and running. I look forward to the new challenge and meeting new people in the leisure industry
