Danielle Hedley, Leisure Club Manager

I have worked in the leisure industry for almost 10 years working through several roles. I started as a fitness instructor and moved onto leisure supervisor. For the last 4 years I have worked in a management role and I continue this here at Newcastle metro centre leisure club. My aim is to ensure that our members and guests receive the highest possible service when using our facilities. Louise Mowatt, Senior Leisure Supervisor

I am a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer and a Swimming Instructor. I regularly use the gym and go swimming to maintain my fitness. I have been working for Marriott since November 2007 and have gained a wealth of Qualifications and knowledge about the fitness industry within that time. I look foward to seeing you in the Leisure Club.

Kerry Stephenson, Leisure Receptionist

I began my career with Marriott back in July 2010, joining the leisure club in January 2013 as a receptionist; I have since completed my nvq level 2 fitness instructor qualifications, level 1 and 2 swimming instructor qualification and currently studying nvq level 3 personal training. My passion for sport began at an early age due to running for Blaydon harries, horse riding, dancing and playing net ball. I am eager to expand my Knowledge further, love a chat and I’m always happy to help so please never think twice about stopping to say hello or ask a question. Kerry Stephenson

Ryan Quinn, Fitness Instructor

I have been working for Marriott for 3 years now, starting off as the apprentice I have worked my way up to personal trainer in the club, I am very motivated and keen to help people achieve their goals. Adrian Wyszomirski, Fitness Instructor

I’ve recently started working for Marriott Leisure Club. My passion for sport was always present since a young age. In particular, I’ve always enjoyed distance running, cycling and gym-based activities. I’m always happy to help and answer your questions.

Rachel Abbs, Fitness Instructor

I have been involved in sport since the age of 10yrs. I was previously a member of Durham City Harriers&A.C from the age of 10 till 20yrs old and competed in pentathlons and heptathlons at County and National level. I have also competed at a national level in long jump which was my main event. If anyone would like like a sports specific programme made I am a level 3 trainer and I aim to push you to acheive your goals.

Ryan Ridley, Fitness Instructor

I am a recent addition to the Marriott leisure team although I have worked in the fitness industry for 3 years and trained intensely since the age of 16. Previously before joining the fitness industry I lived in London for 4 years where I worked as a professional dancer after I was awarded a full scholarship to one of London’s highest commended dance colleges. I graduated with a 1st class honours before performing on the west end and touring the UK throughout my career. After my transition into the fitness industry I have worked in a number of gyms around the UK before recently completing a 3 month contract working aboard ‘Royal Caribbean – Freedom of the Seas’ cruise ship working as a personal trainer/gym manager and fitness co-coordinator.

Judith Leonard, Leisure Club Cleaner

I have recently moved to the Leisure Club after working for the Marriott for 9 years in the housekeeping department. I will be using my skills and experience from housekeeping and transferring them to my daily routine in the leisure club to ensure the club is cleaned and maintained to a high standard. I have been made to feel very welcome by both the staff and the members in the leisure club and I enjoy interacting and helping the members and guests using the facilities.
