1. Fruit and Vegetables taste delicious and there is a lot of variety to choose from

2. They are a good source of vitamins and minerals

3. They are an excellent source of dietary fibre

4.  They can help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and some cancers

5. fruit and vegetables contribute to a healthy and balanced diet


Almost all fruit and vegetables count towards your 5 A DAY however; potatoes and Cassava do not as they contribute starch to the diet.
