Food of the month - BLUEBERRIES

  • Blueberries have one of the highest antioxidant capacities amongst all fruit, vegetables, spices and seasonings.

  • They are very low in calories; 100g fresh blueberries provide only 57 calories.

  • Blueberries contain tons of vitamin C which help collagen formation and also maintains healthy gums as well as a healthy immune system.

  • A study suggests that blueberries reverse age-related memory loss thanks to its abundance of antioxidants called flavonoids.

Start the day with blueberries in your youghurt, cereal, porridge or smoothie. Blueberries are also great in green salads. Consider added sunflower seeds, walnuts or garbanzo beans for added protein.
